A student asked me about a person that was featured in one of our textbooks, Chimokel Chilapong. According to the textbook, this Kenyan mother of four wanted to raise money to send her children to a better school and took part in a marathon. She trained every day for a year and managed to come in first, winning the $12,000 USD prize and guaranteeing her children could attend some of the best schools in Kenya. Good for her! At the end of the listening component of the lesson, Chimokel said that she was invited to run in London and Paris later that year. The student wanted to know what the result of those marathons. Did Ms. Chilapong continue to win and earn more money for her family? Did she retire? I took to Google to find out and met some interesting results.

So far so good. It's in the auto-complete.

Well this is odd. The string is in the auto-complete, but there are zero results for it. Does this mean that the story, stated as being a factual and true story, exists only as a Google document somewhere to provide the auto-complete but is not in a publicly accessible place? It's certainly a possibility. That would certainly explain why Chimokel had a very good London accent ...
