Jason F. Irwin

Developer, Writer, and Podcaster

If you've landed here, you're probably wondering a little bit about me. Like the header reads, I like to think of myself as a software developer, blogger, and podcaster. Being creative is both a blessing and a curse because, when I'm not coding, writing, or recording, I can be found learning about other creative pursuits, or enjoying the wonderful creations of others. At the moment, this means I'm listening to a lot of podcasts and reading philosophy blogs.

I live in Central Japan with my wife, a very young son, and the kindest little dog you've ever laid eyes on. Want to learn more? Feel free to follow some or all of the links below.

Things I Can Do Relatively Well

Development

I've been writing consumer and corporate software since the summer of 1994, and there's little chance of me stopping now. At the moment my passions lay with making the 10Centuries platform better as well as creating software for use in schools to help students, teachers, and staff put the computers down sooner to focus on the core purpose of learning.

Blogging

My first blog started in 1997 on GeoCities, and I've had an online presence ever since. As someone who has gone to the effort of creating a blogging platform, writing is something I put a lot of effort into. Hopefully some of my articles have proven useful to readers over the years.

Podcasting

Since releasing my first podcast in 2014, I've gone on to make hundreds more and help dozens of people produce their own. Some of my more popular shows have been interviews, but I also have several solo shows that discuss topics ranging from 10Centuries development to social issues.

Data Analysis

I've been working with databases of all kinds for over two decades and have a knack for finding patterns that can answer quite a few business questions and raise a good deal more. If this is something that I might be able to help you with, just send me a message and I'll be sure to respond.
